SAN ANTONIO — A man was found shot near the downtown area Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
San Antonio police responded to shots fired on the 1100 block of San Fernando Street near Colorado Street just after noon.
When officers arrived they found a man in his 20s with multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body. He was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police said two men began shooting at each other inside an apartment. It is unclear what started the altercation.
Two people including a child were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
The suspect took off before police arrived.
No weapons were found at the scene.
Authorities said witnesses are not cooperating.
Police will continue to investigate.
