SAN ANTONIO — A man was slashed in his chest by one of his roommates early Thursday morning on the north side, police say.
The man, 54, was in the process of moving out of a home in the 200 block of Pinewood Lane around 2:19 a.m.
During the moving process, the man had an altercation with one of his three roommates. The roommate, 41, was giving him a "hard time" which started an argument. The victim was then slashed in the chest by the roommate with a "meat cleaver," according to police. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The suspect has been detained and faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say they were called to the location earlier in the day and that this problem has been going on for a few weeks.
