Suspect arrested after allegedly breaking into west-side home and stabbing older man

The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was stabbed multiple times after a suspect broke into his west-side home Monday afternoon, authorities said. 

San Antonio police responded to a stabbing on the 7900 block of Campfire Lane around 3:20 p.m. 

Upon arrival officers found a man in his 60s inside the home with multiple stab wounds to his body. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. 

No other injuries were reported. 

Police said a man in his 30s broke into the home and got into an argument with the man in his 60s. The suspect then stabbed the older man several times. 

The suspect was found in the backyard of the home and was detained by police. 

Police said the victim and suspect knew each other. 

No other information was provided.
