SAN ANTONIO — A man is in stable condition after being stabbed in the chest multiple times, police say.
At around 10:46 p.m. Wednesday night, a 21-year-old man and his sister, both experiencing homelessness, were living in their tent under a bridge at the intersection of Austin Street and I-35.
Another man, known for bringing them food, reportedly "assaulted" the woman. The brother then tried to stop him and was stabbed by the suspect in the process.
The suspect fled in a white car, according to police.
Not much is known about the suspect and as of Thursday morning the victim is in the hospital in stable condition.
