Argument turned violent | Man in critical condition after being stabbed at west-side apartment complex

Police say the man that was stabbed has had ongoing issues with several people at the apartment complex. SAPD is still investigating what led to the altercation.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is in critical condition after being stabbed in an altercation at a west-side apartment complex, police say.

SAPD says they responded to a stabbing at an apartment complex located at 1100 Callaghan around 11:30 a.m. Saturday. They say that two couples were having an argument that turned into a physical altercation between two of the men. Police think one of the men had a "club" and the other had a knife.

The man with the club ended up with a stab wound from the knife and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say the man that was stabbed has apparently had ongoing issues with several people at the apartment complex. Authorities are still investigating what led to the altercation.

A suspect has been detained but it's unclear what charges he will face.
