'Mexican Mafia' brothers charged with aggravated robbery

SAN ANTONIO – Two brothers who claimed to be part of the Mexican Mafia were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery after a Feb. 13 incident where a man was beaten and robbed at gunpoint.

William Ramon, 34, and Edgar Ramon, 33, kicked in the front door of a residence, according to information in affidavits.

Edgar Ramon then put a handgun to the man’s head and demanded all the money he had. After stealing the money, he then hit the man several times in the back and told him he was part of the Mexican Mafia and he would be killed if he called the police, the affidavits stated.

The victim was able to get away, running out the back door and the brothers fled the scene in a gray 4-door sedan, according to information in the affidavits.
