Man in truck drags victim in motorcycle outside northwest-side bar, police say

The suspect has been detained and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victim's condition is currently unknown.

SAN ANTONIO — An argument turned violent outside southwest-side bar early Thursday morning, police say, and a man was dragged by a truck as a result of the encounter.

Authorities say two men had a "disturbance" inside a bar shortly before 1 a.m. along the 7700 block of Guilbeau before being removed by staff..

One of the men, a 39-year-old, got on his motorcycle. Police say the other man, 62 years of age, took his truck and ran the victim over, dragging him and his motorcycle through the parking lot and into the street.

The suspect, later identified as Ted Colunga, then fled the area. Police said Colunga later called 911 to report the incident, upon which he was detained.

He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon while the victim recovers in the hospital. His condition is unknown.
