Seven people arrested in multi-agency raid at west-side San Antonio home

Authorities say five of the seven people arrested have felony warrants. Allegations of human trafficking are being investigated.

SAN ANTONIO — Authorities said they were investigating human trafficking allegations when they raided two west-side homes Tuesday morning on West Commerce Street

Around 9:00 a.m. DART, which is comprised of Code Enforcement, SAPD, Health, ACS, and NHSD investigated the properties and found evidence of criminal activity.

The DART investigation resulted in the confiscation of multiple illegal weapons, confirmation of unsanitary living conditions including no utilities, electrical hazards, illegal structures and the arrest of seven people for multiple offenses such as possession of narcotics, possession of weapons and outstanding criminal warrants.

“I’m glad someone did say something and they did raid them and that’s what the consequences are," a neighbor who wishes to remain anonymous told KENS 5.

The neighbor added that he always hears gunshots near the home that was raided Tuesday.

KENS 5 requested calls for service from SAPD dating back to March of 2023 and found there have been multiple responses from police to one of the homes for calls related to gun violence.

Authorities said seven people were arrested and five of them have felony warrants. They have charges ranging from possession of controlled substances to evading arrest.

The human trafficking allegations are still under investigation.

The City Attorney's office plans to meet with the home owner next week to discuss what happens next.
