A murder suspect who has been on the run since he disappeared from a courtroom during jury selection was captured Monday morning.
Jose Gutierrez, 33, was arrested without incident at a west-side home by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
Gutierrez was set to stand trial for a murder charge that stemmed back to 2013.
However, on August 25 during jury selection, deputies allowed him to leave the courtroom. Gutierrez never re-entered.
Deputies found his ankle monitor a short time later in an east-side McDonald's restaurant.
