SAN ANTONIO – New arrests were made in the case of an east-side man's murder, bringing the total to four people charged with capital murder.
Royce Reese Jr. was arrested Nov. 15 and charged with capital murder in connection with Ramon Rivera's death.
Since then, three others have been arrested in connection with the brutal killing.
In addition to Reese, Henry Taylor Krueger, 36, Dylan Miles Tinti, 19, and Mary Ellen Gonzales, 30, are all facing capital murder charges in connection with the incident.
The San Antonio Police Department said Reese is accused of beating 31-year-old Rivera to death Thursday after an argument over money.
Gonzales was reportedly driven to Rivera's house by the suspects as they waited around the corner.
According to police, she signaled to the men that she was leaving, and they walked in and attacked Rivera with an ax.
Investigators said they believe Reese is the one who hit Rivera over the head with an ax.
The group is also accused of taking off with Rivera's SUV and some tools.
Detectives reportedly tracked Reese down after someone spotted the dead man's vehicle.
