One dead after drive-by shooting on the west side, SAPD says

The shooting took place on Ceralvo Street and an officer said that there were no witnesses.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department told KENS 5 that a man is dead after what they are calling a drive-by shooting on the west side.

The shooting took place on Ceralvo Street and an officer at the scene said that there were no witnesses or description of the vehicle. He said the victim was a male in his 50's.

Police said he got shot in the chest and was pronounced dead on the scene. Hernandez said police aren't sure if this was a targeted incident or not.

This is an ongoing investigation and KENS 5 will update this story when more information becomes available.
