Police investigating self-inflicted shooting on I-37 on San Antonio's southeast side

SAN ANTONIO — Police are investigating what they tell us was a self-inflicted shooting Thursday afternoon on the southeast side of San Antonio.

San Antonio Police were dispatched to northbound Interstate 37 at Braunig Lake around 11:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

Traffic was backed up for quite a ways due to the investigation.

One person was taken to the hospital, according to a San Antonio Fire Department spokesman.

No other details were immediately available.
