Police searching for man who stabbed another man in chest

It happened just west of downtown early Wednesday morning.

SAN ANTONIO — Police are searching for a man they say stabbed another man in chest just west of downtown, then ran off.

San Antonio Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of West Martin Street just before 1 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.

Officers tell us that two homeless men were arguing outside of Haven for Hope when it escalated and one man stabbed the other.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to University Hospital with a stab wound to his chest and is stable.

Police say they do know the suspect's identity.

This is a developing story.
