SAN ANTONIO — All three individuals shot in a Stone Oak murder-suicide on Wednesday have died from their injuries, according to local authorities.
San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) officials said officers responded around 5 p.m. to the 17900 block of Winter Hill Road, on the north side, after someone called to report a body outside their home. Upon arriving, officers found a middle-aged couple – Yolanda Keller and Brian J. Keller, both 59 years old – had been shot.
Yolanda was pronounced dead at the scene, while Brian was hospitalized in critical condition. Also hospitalized was 25-year-old Benjamin Keller, whom authorities said shot the victim before turning the gun on himself.
As of Friday afternoon, the two survivors had also died, according to the county medical examiner.
Neighbors were shaken by what happened.
"I ended up calling my wife and just telling her make sure you close the garage door, lock the doors, because there’s something happening here,” one neighbor said.
Police say the Kellers were family members who lived together in the house. According to officials, Benjamin Keller shot Brian in the head before following Yolanda out of the home and fatally shooting her.
Had he survived, authorities said Benjamin Keller might have faced capital murder charges.
