SAN ANTONIO — A 38-year-old is facing charges of super aggravated assault of a child for the rape of a 5-year-old female victim earlier this month, according to authorities.
According to an arrest warrant, officers were dispatched to the victim’s residence for a report of a sexual offense on Feb. 19. The girl reportedly described the assault to her parents and a nurse during a forensic interview.
The suspect is Andrew Bymun. Online records indicate he's considered a high-risk registered sex offender who lived in the same home as the victim. Records show he has previous convictions of child sexual assault.
His bond has been set at $250,000
