SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio man was convicted in early July for sexual abuse of a child, officials said.
Felix Marfil sexually assaulted the victim in the spring of 2023. The victim told an adult about what Marfil did to her two weeks after the incidents. Local law enforcement started an investigation immediately after the outcry.
Last week a Bexar County jury found Marfil guilty for Aggravated Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child by Contact. The jury sentenced him to 70 years for count one and 20 years for count two. The sentences are set to run concurrently.
Marfil must also register as a sex offender with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
"The verdict and corresponding sentence for the crimes committed against children demonstrate our community's unwavering dedication to protecting our youth," stated District Attorney Joe Gonzales.
