Three people arrested after shooting at southwest-side apartment complex

Police said a fight had broken out outside an apartment building and three suspects were seen fleeing in a vehicle.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police have arrested three people in connection to a shooting that happened on the southwest side around midnight on Thursday that sent two men to a local hospital. 

Authorities responded to the 2000 block of south Zarzamora Street around 12 a.m. 

Police arrived and found two men with gunshot wounds in an apartment complex walkway.  

Investigators said they are still working to piece together what exactly happened but confirmed a fight had broken out outside an apartment building and three suspects were seen fleeing in a vehicle. 

Officers pulled over the car not far from the apartment with three people inside. One person in the car was also shot and taken to a local hospital. 

All occupants inside the car were arrested for aggravated assault. A gun was found inside the vehicle, police said. 

Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
