SAN ANTONIO — A 53-year-old man is dead and a 51-year-old woman in critical condition after a shooting inside a northeast-side home, according to authorities.
Around 7:35 p.m., officers with the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) responded to the 4900 block of Champlain Drive for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police said, officers found the man dead and the woman injured with gunshot wounds.
The man was identified by the Medical Examiner at 53-year-old Miguel M. Sauceda.
Police said their preliminary investigation shows that two other individuals, one a minor and one an adult, were inside the home at the time of the shooting and ran to neighbors to call police.
A neighbor told KENS 5 that the couple was going through a divorce and that she had heard them arguing in the past.
This is an ongoing investigation and KENS 5 will update this story as more information becomes available.
