SAPD: Man robs Chase Bank on northeast side with note that said he had a weapon

Police are still searching for the suspect.

SAN ANTONIO — A man robbed a bank on the northeast side Wednesday morning after sliding a note to the bank teller that said he had a weapon, authorities say. 

San Antonio police responded to a call around 10:45 a.m. for a robbery at a Chase Bank on Nacogdoches Road. 

According to police a man wearing a hoodie passed the teller a note saying he had a weapon. 

The teller handed over the money, but it is unclear how much money was taken, police say. 

Authorities say the man ran off with the money and took the note. Police are still searching for the suspect. 

Police have not confirmed if the man had a weapon.  

According to authorities there have been several robberies in that area. 

This is an ongoing investigation. 

No other information was provided.
