SAN ANTONIO — A man was shot in the arm early Wednesday after coming home from work and finding his woman in bed with another man, according to police.
San Antonio Police say they received a call around 10:30 a.m. from the 38-year-old victim claiming he had been shot. Police responded to the 14000 block of Greenjay Drive near Nacogdoches Road on the northeast side of town and found the victim who had actually been shot hours earlier. He told officers that he had been "too scared to call earlier."
The victim told officers he had come home from working in Austin around 4 a.m. and found his woman in bed with another man. Oddly enough, that man apparently had a friend with him, who when confronted, shot the victim "through and though" on his forearm. The victim told police he ran from the home to wait for everyone to leave, before returning to the home and calling for help.
The woman is refusing to cooperate with police and not providing any information on either of the two men involved, other than she dropped them off at a motel nearby.
"I think, you know, there's more to the story that he's not giving," said the SAPD PIO. "He's leaving out some details, and she's not cooperating as well."
Police did say that they found multiple shell casings inside the home in the bedroom and extending to the living room and out the front door. Police believe the weapon may have been a 9mm or a small pistol.
When found, police say the suspect will be facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Police do have some video of the suspect that is not very clear but could possibly be a man in his 20s.
Police say the man and woman have children together and he has clothes at the home, but say they are still trying to confirm if they are married and if the man has keys to the home. Police say none of the children were at home at the time of the shooting.
Officers are still working to investigate what actually happened.
This is a developing story.
