Two at large after stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from sunglass stores, SAPD says

Over the past few weeks, SAPD said the two suspects have been entering these stores, grabbing merchandise and leaving the scene with the merchandise unpaid for.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating two suspects who have allegedly been stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from local sunglass stores.

Over the past few weeks, SAPD said the two suspects have been entering these stores, grabbing merchandise and leaving the scene with "up to thousands of dollars in merchandise."

Pictured below are the two suspects SAPD is currently looking for:

According to local trial attorney, Joseph Hoelscher, sunglasses are a common target for thieves in San Antonio.

"If you've purchased anything from Craigslist, Amazon Marketplace, eBay, there's a strong chance that you're actually purchasing stolen merchandise," Hoelscher said. "When you have somebody who is repeatedly committing the same crime over and over as part of a team that is organized criminal activity, and eventually they're going to graduate to something else. So, it is important to call in and try to help because we all pay the price for shoplifting."

If you have any information about this case or the whereabouts of the suspects above, you are urged to contact the Property Crimes Task Force at 210-207-8326.
