SAN ANTONIO — A school bus carrying a group of pre-k students was involved in an accident near North Star Mall early Tuesday morning.
The crash happened on the Loop 410 at McCullough Avenue around 9 a.m. The school bus was from the Pre-K 4 SA school and had left from the South Education Center and was taking the students to swim lessons.
Police say the bus hydroplaned due to wet weather conditions and crashed. This was a single vehicle accident.
According to the San Antonio Fire Department, there were no injuries.
Police say there were 39 students and 8 teachers and staff members on the bus.
The students were secured in five-point child safety seats, according to a statement from the school.
The students were moved to a secondary bus and returned to the center.
All parents were notified of the crash, school officials said.
