Sisters' boyfriends shoot each other after argument escalates outside east-side home, police say

San Antonio Police responded to a shooting in progress in the 4600 block of Argonne Drive around 3:45 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO — Two men were sent to the hospital with gunshot wounds after an argument escalated outside an east-side home Monday afternoon, authorities say.

San Antonio Police responded to a shooting in progress in the 4600 block of Argonne Drive, near East Houston and South WW White, around 3:45 p.m.

Police say two sisters were living at the home when one of their boyfriends showed up at the house. The man caused a disturbance of some sort, at which point the other sister asked her boyfriend to come over and tell the man to leave.

According to a sergeant on scene, the two men then got into a heated argument. The first man that had arrived at the home pulled out a handgun, prompting the second man to do the same, police say. The two exchanged gunfire and both were struck.

Both men were transported to a local hospital in stable condition, police say.

Authorities say one gun was recovered at the scene, but it's unclear what charges, if any, the men might face.
