SAN ANTONIO — Police have arrested a man wanted in connection to a stabbing led to them barricading a northeast-side home over a week ago.

At about 10:22 p.m., officers were called to the 4100 block of Sunrise Pass for a cutting in progress.

When they arrived, police say they found a 32-year-old man with a stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

After investigating, police believe the victim and suspect were having a physical altercation when the suspect stabbed the victim.

It was believed at the time that the suspect, now identified as 40-year-old Juan Jose Soriano, fled into his residence, next to where the alleged stabbing took place.

A quadrant was then set up around the house, and the incident was being treated as a barricaded subject. More and more authorities arrived at the location attempting to get the suspect out of the house.

After a while, authorities weren't 100% sure the suspect was actually in the house, and the barricade was "tactically disengaged."

Soriano was located and taken into police custody, he now faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
