Suspect arrested in Seguin double murder case

After the murder of two Seguin residents on Thursday, officials have announced that they've arrested a suspect and charged him with capital murder.

A man has been arrested following a double murder in Guadalupe County.

Brian Day is charged with capital murder. His bond has been set at $2 million.

On Thursday, deputies responding to a call on the 2100 block of Vivroux Ranch Road found the bodies of 29-year-old Thomas Holland and his wife, 27-year-old Jenita Holland, both of whom lived in Seguin.

Investigators say that both appeared to have been shot. Officers searching the suspect’s home say that they found several homemade explosives and guns.

Day is being held at the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center.

A motive for the murders has not been released by law enforcement.
