SAN ANTONIO — A man was murdered, and another man violently attacked and robbed, and both crimes are linked to the same northwest-side home.
The house off the 2400 block of Basse Road was swarming with federal agents last Wednesday as the FBI raided the property.
Two men wanted for murder were arrested during the raid.
Police said Paul Chacon and Esteban Flores have been charged with murder after investigators said the the two men tortured and killed Joe Anthony Guerra at the Basse house in April 2022.
On Monday, police made another arrest connected to the same house.
According to an arrest warrant, 18-year-old Donavan Hill was taken into custody in connection to a brutal armed robbery that happened at the Basse house in March 2022.
And it’s not the first time Hill has had a run-in with law enforcement.
KENS 5 has confirmed that Hill was also arrested in connection to a shooting in Uvalde that happened a few months after the armed robbery.
Two different crimes happening in two different counties, and now Hill is facing charges in connection to both.
The trail of evidence came together last week when federal agents from the FBI and ATF raided the home off Basse Rd.
It’s the same house where investigators said Hill, who was 16-years-old at the time, allegedly attacked a man who went there on March 19, 2022, to buy a rifle magazine.
According to an arrest warrant, the victim, which whom we are choosing not to identify in this story, was immediately attacked by multiple suspects once he set foot in the Basse house.
The warrant goes on to report that the suspects “pistol-whipped” the victim, and then continued to beat him by “repeated kicks and punches throughout his face, his body, and his limbs.”
The beating was so bad, investigators said, the victim was knocked unconscious.
Detectives wrote in the warrant, the victim told officers that Hill and the other suspects, then “ripped off the earrings from this ears, stripped him of his jeans, shirt, shoes, and dragged him outside.”
The arrest warrant goes on to report that Hill and the other suspects drove the victim in his own truck to another location and left him on the roadway.
It’s unclear if any other suspects have been arrested in this case, but we did some digging and found that Donavan Hill is also a suspect in another violent crime that happened a few months later in Uvalde.
According to Uvalde Police Department, a fight broke out at Uvalde Memorial Park on Sept. 8, 2022 and then escalated to a shooting.
Two teens were shot and seriously injured.
Uvalde police arrested four people shortly after the shooting, and they confirmed today Donavan Hill was one of those arrested, suspected as one of the gunmen.
Hill is facing nine counts of Aggravated Assault, and one count of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, in connection to the Uvalde Memorial Park shooting.
Uvalde Police said the shooting is still under investigation and more people could be facing charges.
As for Hill, the now 18-year-old is now back behind bars once again in connection to the violent armed robbery off Basse Road.
