SAN ANTONIO — A former Judson ISD band teacher was convicted Thursday on 20 counts of child pornography possession and promotion, and sentenced the following day to 131 years in prison.
The sentence stems from six-year sentences for each of 20 counts of possession of child pornography, plus another 11 years for promotion of child pornography. He'll serve each sentence consecutively.
Mark Mallow was initially arrested in August 2022 after he was accused of uploading child porn to Snapchat. Last summer he was taken into custody again after police received a tip that he allegedly tried to meet up with a 14-year-old; that trial hasn't happened yet.
