SAN ANTONIO — Six people were shot outside of a north east side event center after police say at least one gunman opened fire into a crowd early Sunday morning.
San Antonio Police responded to the parking lot at La Bona Vida Event Center on Wye Drive at Perrin Beitel Road around 2:46 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
Police say a large crowd was gathered when the shots rang out, wounding six people. Three have non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Three more victims reportedly drove themselves to a nearby hospital to be treated. The victims ages range from 15 up to 23 years old.
Security at the event center told police they saw multiple muzzle flashes coming from across the street. Police found several shell casings and evidence where security reported the flashes.
Police are investigating what led to the shooting. A description of the suspect or suspects was not provided by police.
Police say they are not getting any information from witnesses at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
