HOUSTON -- A pair of exhausted chase suspects are in custody after giving up during a chase from Pearland into Houston.
Air 11 was overhead shortly after the chase got under way on Highway 288.
The suspects led officers to the Southwest Freeway where they then went to Beltway 8-West. The suspects, in a gold minivan, got onto the tollway heading eastbound before exiting at W. Airport.
The two men could be seen jumping off the tollway and then running across the frontage road into a nearby business complex.
The men ran around the corner but soon gave up, clearly exhausted from the foot pursuit.
It wasn't known what the men were wanted for. As of 11:15 a.m. Thursday a couple eastbound lanes of the tollway remained blocked for the investigation.
