SAN ANTONIO — Two men were fatally shot in the parking lot of Park North shopping center north of downtown early Sunday morning, police say.
San Antonio Police responded to the parking lot located on Northwest Loop 410 near Blanco around 2 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
According to police, information is limited at this time. What we do know is that two men were found with gunshot wounds when officers arrived. Police and EMS performed life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. The victims have been identified as Jonyai Lavaughn Napoleon, 22, and Aaron Montgomery, 28.
Police are working with security at the location to possibly get further information on suspects.
Security told police that two men were seen running away from the scene, but the sergeant says as officers arrived, everyone was running.
The shooting is in the early stages of the investigation. No other injuries were reported. Homicide will continue the investigation.
