SAN ANTONIO — Two people robbed a south-side gas station and assaulted an employee late Friday night, authorities said.
San Antonio police responded to a robbery at an Exxon gas station around 11:45 p.m. on Zarzamora Street.
Police said two suspects entered the store and grabbed two cases of alcohol. The suspects attempted to leave without paying when a male employee tried to stop them.
The two suspects then assaulted the man, striking him in the face, police said.
The suspects fled in a white truck. No details were given about their description.
The man suffered minor injuries.
Police said this is an active investigation.
