Investigators with the Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office said a woman was caught on camera setting a home with four people inside on fire.

MAGNOLIA, Texas — A family of four was forced out of their home in Magnolia early Tuesday when a fire broke out.

When the Magnolia Fire Department responded to the fire on Rhode Island Street, they found the home and three vehicles burning. Everyone made it out safely and no one was hurt.

Investigators with the Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office determined the fire was intentionally set and identified a suspect who lived in the neighborhood. They said the suspect was uncooperative when officers from the MCFMO and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office went to her home.

During a standoff, they learned that she was possibly in possession of a firearm and may have been having a mental health crisis. The Crisis Negotiation Team responded and the woman was finally arrested 12 hours after the fire was set.

She was charged with first-degree felony arson and taken to a hospital for evaluation.
