SAN ANTONIO — A woman was hit by a car on the northwest side of the city Friday afternoon, authorities said.

San Antonio police responded to an accident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Northwest Loop 410 and Evers Road around 4 p.m.

Police said a 21-year-old woman was walking eastbound in a marked crosswalk at the intersection when a 2008 Gray Mercedes-Benz struck the woman. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz failed to render aid and fled the scene prior to officers arrival.

The woman was checked out by paramedics with minor injuries.

A witness who saw the crash took a picture of the fleeing vehicle and gave it to police.

Officers arrested Jerame Reyna, 38, for Collision Involving Injury.
