SAN ANTONIO — A woman was seriously injured after being hit by a driver exiting a store parking lot on the north side of town Friday night, police say.
San Antonio Police responded to the 1500 block of Highway 281 North near Loop 1604 around 7:15 p.m. for reports of a victim being hit by a vehicle.
Police say the 46-year-old woman was walking southbound along the sidewalk of an H-E-B parking lot when the driver of a white pickup truck that was exiting the parking lot to the northbound access road hit her.
She sustained serious bodily injuries from the crash and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the white truck fled the location without stopping to render any type of aid to the victim.
Officials say she is in stable condition.
When the driver of the white truck is found, they will be charged with the offense of Failure to Stop and Render Aid - SBI.
This investigation remains ongoing.
