SAPD: Man shoots two women, including pregnant victim, inside car at north-side apartments

Police said the women were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It's unknown if anyone has been detained.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police responded to a shooting on the city's north side where officials said two women – including one who was 38 weeks pregnant – were shot Tuesday afternoon. It's unknown as of now if anyone has been detained.

SAPD said three women were reportedly inside a car exiting an apartment complex in the 1200 block of Patricia Drive when a male suspect on the sidewalk opened fire at the vehicle, striking two of the women.

The victims haven't been identified. Police said the pregnant woman is 21 years old and was shot in the finger and leg; the other victim, a 23-year-old, was shot in her arm.

They were taken to University Hospital to be treated while police continue looking for the suspect.
