HOUSTON Two Lee High School students are facing charges in a slaying police believe was a murder-for-hire.
Investigators say Danish Moazzam Minhas, 17, hired his classmate, Nur J. Mohamed, 18, to kill his mother, 43-year-old Tabassum Khan.
Khan was found stabbed to death on Nov. 25 at her apartment in the 6000 block of Beverly Hill by Minhas.
Minhas later told investigators he wanted his mother dead because she was too strict and controlling.
Mohamed told investigators Minhas paid him to kill her.
Police said both teens have confessed to their roles in the slaying.
Prosecutors said the teens did not yet have attorneys, because they hadn t made initial court appearances.
