It is disturbing video.
Confidential footage obtained by KENS 5 shows a Bexar County Sheriff's Corporal shackled and held down after another deputy used a Taser on him three times.
KENS 5 first reported the incident Thursday, but no one from the sheriff's office would comment on it.
So KENS 5 tracked down Sheriff Javier Salazar at an event on Friday morning to get his thoughts.
"I have seen that video. There is a current investigation ongoing with that case and we're looking at all angles of it," Sheriff Salazar said.
According to an internal document obtained by KENS 5, a Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) officer used a Taser three times on a corporal who was suffering from a medical episode.
The corporal's hand and feet were shackled while deputies held him down.
The sheriff's office has remained quiet about the incident since it happened on September 29. Sheriff Salazar insists that it's too early to know if anyone one was in the wrong.
"I was glad the video existed. That's the reason we have body cameras on our SERT officers, is for any incidents that might arise in the jail," Sheriff Salazar said. "It was captured from several different angles, so it gives us a good, well-rounded view of what happened to allow us to make an educated decision when the time comes."
The corporal was taken to Downtown Baptist Hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.
Sheriff Salazar says that no punishment has been handed down at this time.
