PLANO, Texas — A chemical spill inside a Home Depot in Plano, Texas, left 20 people affected, according to police.
Plano PD said the spill happened at the Home Depot on State Highway 121 and Ohio Drive. Police said 20 people were affected by the spill.
Plano officials told WFAA that a container filled with either muriatic or hydrochloric acid was leaking, and that employees called Plano Fire-Rescue. Police said Plano's Hazardous Materials Team (Hazmat) located the spill and contained the leak.
Plano Hazmat will stay on the scene until Home Depot's private hazmat team arrives. Officials said six Home Depot employees were treated and are now fine.
WFAA has a crew en route to the scene.
