SAN ANTONIO — More than one hundred firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a strip mall in Lincoln Heights Tuesday.
Crews with the San Antonio Fire Department were called to the strip center in the 900 block of E. Basse Road just after 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
According to SAFD Chief Charles Hood, the fire started in the attic above the Paciugo Gelato & Caffe located in a building at the Shops at Lincoln Heights. The chief said heavy smoke damage would affect the other businesses in the building.
No injuries were reported in the fire, Chief Hood said. Firefighters are working to restore power to the building.
Arson investigators are working to determine what caused the fire. Chief Hood told reporters Tuesday the outbreak could've started with a possible electrical or A/C issue.
