SAN ANTONIO -- Our city is on the rise and under construction. A local non profit company, 80/20 Foundation, published the first-time renderings of 21 projects online on the Rivard Report.

Funds are being spent, budgets have been approved, said Lorenzo Gomez, who put together the report.

Lorenzo Gomez, executive director of 80/20 Foundation and Geekdom, played a role in the development of some of the most innovative projects for our city and thus got access to project renderings.

So one of the things that made me sad is that I saw these renderings but I was the only who saw them, he said.

Wanting to share his excitement, Gomez decided to publish these visions on-line so everyone could have a look.

It's a city that's on the rise, he said about San Antonio.

One he featured in his report is almost complete, The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Aside from its studio theatre, it will have an outdoor performance plaza connected to the Riverwalk.

In my opinion, it will be one of the most beautiful buildings in San Antonio when its complete, said Gomez.

Other projects down the road include HemisFair Park, the building on the 100 block of East Commerce home to the Esquire Tavern. The list of projects go on and on including the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center and the VIA modern street car.

These are real projects we're not just dreaming anymore, said Gomez.
