The theater chain initially said via social media Thursday that all its Alamo City locations were to abruptly close while it works to resolve the issues, which also prevented refunds from being processed "until further notice." The closures continued Friday as new films like "Lisa Frankenstein" and "Out of Darkness" opened in the U.S., and those trying to buy tickets online were met with error messages.

"These issues hurt us as much as they hurt you," Santikos said in another social media post Saturday while announcing a return of operations at the Palladium. The theater chain urged its customers to keep an eye on social media posts for further updates.

KENS 5 reached out to the company's guest services division for more information about the problems, but no other details were provided.
