SAN ANTONIO — A man told police he was just defending his wife from unruly fellow bus passengers after she was punched by one of them.
This happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on a bus near Culebra Road and North Zarzamora Street on the city's west side.
Police say after some type of altercation on the bus, two men and a husband and wife couple got off and then one of the men punched the wife.
That's when police say her husband cut the guy on the arm and hand. He reportedly kept defending his wife using a cane.
A police sergeant pulled into the nearby convenience store parking lot and everyone involved was detained for questioning.
Now police are trying to figure out who, if anyone, will face charges.
