SAN ANTONIO DE ARECO, Buenos Aires Province — On Saturday, the San Antonio and South Texas Alzheimer's Association hosted its annual Walk to End Alzheimer's at Six Flags Fiesta.
Nearly 7 million Americans live with Alzheimer's. In Texas, it makes up nearly half a million.
5,000 supporters walked in the event having the same mission to find a cure.
The money raised in the event goes toward research and support for the victims and families.
So far the San Antonio and South Texas Alzheimer's Association have raised half a million dollars.
Their goal is to reach a million.
