SAN ANTONIO — Multiple San Antonio fire crews responded to an apartment fire on the north side Thursday morning, officials say.
Firefighters were called to the Astra Apartments on the 11800 block of West Avenue not far from Blanco Road just before 6 a.m.
Fire officials say the blaze was quickly contained but some of the apartment units sustained damage. All residents were evacuated and no injuries were reported.
According to SAFD, the fire started in the kitchen but they did not say what caused the fire.
Officials say residents whose apartments were impacted by the fire are working with the red cross to find a place to stay.
