Argument over money leads to machete attack, police say

The victim suffered minor injuries to his arm and was treated by EMS at the scene.

SAN ANTONIO — An argument between two men over money on the east side escalated when one of the men pulled out a machete and cut the other man, police say.

San Antonio Police officers responded to the 2200 block of SE Loop 410 around 11 a.m. for reports of a cutting in progress.

Police say the two men know each other and got into a fight about money. One of the men pulled out a machete and cut the other man on his arm. The wound was not serious enough to go to the hospital. He was treated by EMS at the scene.

Police have the suspect in custody and he could be facing charges of aggravated assault.

Homicide is investigating.

This is a developing story.
