Atascosa County — The man indicted for the 2014 murder of an Atascosa woman was found guilty and sentenced to 72 years and 6 months in prison, according to the 81st Judicial District Attorney.
John Finch was convicted in the murder of 29-year-old Lindsey Wadkins. Her body was found on a rural road north of Jourdanton in June 2014.
BACKSTORY:
The U.S. Marshal's office assisted in taking him into custody, finding him at a residence in Charlotte, TX. Authorities were searching for Finch after arresting 24-year-old Naomi Delgado, also accused in the Atascosa County murder, in June.
Authorities did not go into detail about Delgado's role in Wadkins' murder. Deputies said they believe Finch was the triggerman who shot and killed Wadkins.
Finch was found hiding in a closet at an acquaintance's residence.
He was taken into custody and charged with the murder of Lindsey Wadkins.
