ATASCOSA, Texas — Officials are searching for a suspect who was seen assaulting a woman in Atascosa on Monday afternoon.
Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 13300 block of Wendler Way Road, which is southwest of downtown, around 12:45 p.m. for reports of a shooting in progress.
Officials say a neighbor called 911 sayting he saw a suspect pulling a woman from a vehicle and then heard shots fired shortly afterwards.
Deputies say the suspect fled from the location in a blue pickup pulling a trailer, then left his vehicle and fled into a nearby residence.
Officials were able to find the woman who had minor injuries from the assault, but the suspect has not found.
Authorities say he will face aggravated assault charges when located.
