BCSO searching for suspect who allegedly hit deputy working as crossing guard

Adrian Arellano drove off to a nearby apartment complex where he ditched the car and jumped the fence.

SAN ANTONIO — BCSO continues their search for the suspect they say hit one of their deputies working off-duty last week. It happened while the officer was helping as a crossing guard at a catholic church on the north side.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office gave us an old mug shot of the suspect and two other photos they got last week.

Adrian Arellano, 27,  has dark hair and eyes and multiple tattoos.

He is accused of hitting an off-duty BCSO deputy with his car last Thursday, just outside St. Matthew's Catholic School.

Investigators say a parent pulled out of the school's parking lot and blocked the SUV, which forced the driver to stop.

The crossing guard rolled off the vehicle, breaking his foot and injuring his head.

Arellano drove off to a nearby apartment complex where he ditched the car and jumped the fence.

Surveillance video, which these new photos are from, shows him in new clothes at a Motel 6 before he disappeared again.

BCSO says he known to be in the areas of Wurzbach and I-10, and Marbach Road and Loop 410.

If you see him, give deputies a call.

This isn’t the first time Arellano has been a suspect in a case.

Over the summer, he was arrested for burglarizing a home on the west side.
