BCSO: Traffic being diverted due to fatal crash on I-37 South

The highway will be shutdown while BCSO investigate and work to clear the scene.

SAN ANTONIO — A fatal accident on the southeast side of town has caused a section of I-37 Douth to be shutdown and traffic diverted.

Bexar County Sheriff's deputies are at the scene of the fatal crash on I-37 South that happened around 7 a.m. in the southbound lanes just past Mathis Road in far southeast Bexar County.

Officials say that all southbound traffic is being diverted off of I-37 South at the Mathis Rd exit, and will remain shut down as deputies conduct their traffic investigation.

You are asked to find an alternate route and avoid the area.
