COMAL COUNTY, Texas — Deputies are searching for a missing teen from Comal County who disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
Carlos Javier Vergara III, 17, is 5'8" tall, weighs about 130 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white or gray t-shirt and black jeans walking towards Helotes around 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Carlos was reported missing out of Comal County, and his vehicle, a white Toyota Sequoia, was later found near a wooded area near State Hwy 211 and Highway 16 North, locked and unoccupied.
Witnesses told BCSO they saw Carlos Monday morning walking from the direction of Helotes, then reported seeing him later in the evening around 6:30 p.m. walking north in the southbound lanes of Highway 16 heading towards State Highway 211. Carlos did not have a shirt on at the time he was last spotted.
